CodeShield™ for Java Platform Requirement

Designed with 100% Pure Java in mind, CodeShield™ runs on all Java Standard or Enterprise Editions.

Java Virtual Machines

CodeShield™ obfuscates all Java class files generated by Java compilers from JDK 1.0.2 onwards.

However, to obfuscate a program, CodeShield™ needs to run on at least the same version that the target program is depended on. The absolute minimum is JDK 1.1.6. The exact requirement is shown on the following table.

For each version of the JDK indicated above, we recommend the latest available release from Sun Microsystems.

Independent on which version of the JDK CodeShield™ runs on, the platform dependency of your program will not be changed by the obfuscation process.
